Chapters Capital advised Ian Gough on the transaction.

About BRI Wealth Management

BRI Wealth Management is a family-run, Coventry-based financial planning and investment management firm. The business is led by CEO Dan Boardman-Weston. BRI looks after approximately £800 million in client assets, with a team of more than 40 people.

Dan Boardman-Weston, CEO of BRI Wealth Management, said:

“I have great respect for the business Ian has built and for the care he has shown his clients over many years. We are delighted to welcome those clients to BRI and to build on the strong relationships already in place. I would like to thank Daniel Campanale at Chapters Capital for introducing us, and Dan Bisby and James Farrell at Schofield Sweeney for their support throughout the transaction."

About West Midlands Wealth Management

West Midlands Wealth Management is a Chartered financial planning firm founded by Ian Gough in 2015 and based in Woodmancote, Worcestershire. Ian began his career in the industry in 1987 with Norwich Union before becoming an independent financial adviser in 1997, and has also held senior management positions including Branch Manager at Towry Law in Birmingham. His practice specialises in lifetime financial planning, investments, pre- and post-retirement planning, tax and trust planning, and advice for company directors.

Ian Gough, Chartered Financial Planner and founder of West Midlands Wealth Management, said:

“After spending nearly three decades as an independent adviser, I was very conscious that any decision about the future of the business had to be made with my clients firmly in mind. BRI stood out as a business with strong Midlands roots and an approach to advice that felt consistent with my own. Simon and Dan at Chapters Capital were a great support throughout the process, and I am very pleased to have reached an outcome that ensures my clients will continue to receive the same care and professionalism going forward.”
