Ascot Lloyd has completed its acquisition of Aberdeen Financial Planning, significantly enhancing its scale and market presence.
The deal brings in £3.6bn in assets under advice, along with 6,300 clients and approximately 60 advisers. As a result, Ascot Lloyd's total adviser headcount exceeds 220, and its total AUA increases to £14.5bn.
This acquisition aligns with Ascot Lloyd's strategy to strengthen its high-net-worth and younger client segments. It will also leverage Aberdeen's Wrap platform, which was added to its panel earlier this year.
CEO Francis Jackson emphasised that the acquisition not only enhances the firm's capabilities but also improves its ability to serve clients through a combination of organic growth and strategic M&A.
Aberdeen, under CEO Jason Windsor, has been restructuring its business model, with the sale of its advice arm marking a strategic exit from this sector.
Supported by Nordic Capital, Ascot Lloyd remains one of the UK's most active consolidators, and this acquisition is another milestone in its growth journey.
