ASHL Sells LYNC Wealth Management to 7IM Affiliate

Updated: Nov 14

6th November 2024

Adviser Services Holdings Limited (ASHL) has agreed to sell its wealth management division, LYNC Wealth Management, to an affiliate of the 7IM Group. Since its founding in 2022, ASHL has rapidly expanded its advisory network to over 450 advisers and manages approximately £9bn in assets under advice.

LYNC Wealth Management was launched in 2023 to provide an exit strategy for advisory firms seeking to transition from ownership while remaining involved in the business or as part of their retirement planning. To date, LYNC has acquired seven firms managing a total of £500m in assets and intends to add seven more firms in the near future.

Under the terms of the acquisition, LYNC Wealth will become an appointed representative within the Lyncombe network, ASHL’s restricted network. This transition will ensure stability for LYNC’s existing clients and stakeholders since the current leadership team will remain unchanged. With the financial backing of the 7IM Group, LYNC is poised to expand its reach through acquisitions and partnerships across the UK, further strengthening its position in the wealth management sector.

Michael Couzens, CEO of ASHL, commented on the transaction, calling it a “significant milestone” that enhances ASHL’s ability to support financial advisory businesses throughout the country. “With 7IM’s support, LYNC Wealth Management is set for further growth,” Couzens noted, adding that ASHL will continue to be involved in LYNC’s next phase.

This transaction highlights the importance of well-aligned partnerships in driving growth and meeting the evolving needs of the financial advice sector.
