Summary

Craven Street Wealth has acquired Kent-based Pharon Independent Financial Advisers for an undisclosed sum. The IFA's acquisition adds one of the South East’s longest-standing Chartered advice firms to Craven Street's business. The combined advice businesses will support more than 5,800 clients and advise on around £2.9bn of assets. As part of Quanta Group, the wider organisation will now oversee roughly £17bn of client assets across advice, platforms and discretionary fund management.

The deal

Craven Street Wealth (CSW) has completed the acquisition of Pharon Independent Financial Advisers, a Chartered, independent firm based near Canterbury in Kent. The price has not been disclosed, but the deal lifts the combined advice business to more than 5,800 clients and approximately £2.9bn of assets under advice.

Both Craven Street Wealth and Pharon were ranked within the top 20 of the FT Adviser Top 100 for 2025.

The transaction follows Quanta Group’s earlier acquisition of Craven Street Wealth in 2025 and sits alongside its existing platforms (Wealthtime and Wealthtime Classic) and discretionary fund manager Copia Capital.

Who is Craven Street Wealth

Craven Street Wealth is an independent, Chartered financial planning business with regional offices in London, Kent, Sussex, Bedford, Dorset, Oxfordshire, and Sussex. It was formed in 2021 following the acquisition of Kreston Reeves Financial Planning and Christchurch Investment Management by Craven Street Capital, and has since grown rapidly through a mix of organic growth and targeted acquisitions.

In March 2025, Craven Street Wealth announced that the Quanta Group, backed by Private Equity firm AnaCap, had acquired majority interest in the company in a move to support Craven Street's growth plans through further acquisitions.

Who is Pharon IFA

Pharon Independent Financial Advisers is one of the South East’s longest-established advice firms, founded in 1973 and based near Canterbury. It provides independent, whole-of-market financial planning to individuals, families, businesses and trusts, with an emphasis on long-term, face-to-face relationships.

The firm holds Chartered Financial Planner status and has built a strong reputation for technical expertise and client service, with a highly qualified adviser and support team.

Why this deal is happening now

For Craven Street Wealth, the acquisition is part of a clear consolidation and growth strategy as outlined on their website:

  • Scaling high-quality, independent advice – CSW has been integrating respected regional advisory firms to build a larger independent wealth business across London, the South and the Home Counties.

  • Deepening presence in key regions – Pharon significantly strengthens CSW’s footprint in Kent and the wider South East, where both firms already have strong brand recognition.

For Pharon, joining CSW and Quanta allows the firm to build on its 50-year legacy with the backing of a larger group, while retaining its existing client relationships and advice approach. Pharon’s leadership team, including Managing Director and Chartered Financial Planner Nick O’Shea, will join Craven Street Wealth’s management team.

Recent Craven Street Wealth acquisitions

This deal follows a number of recent financial planning acquisitions by Craven Street Wealth as they work on expanding their portfolio.

  • Tarvos Wealth (March 2022) – Acquisition of Canterbury-based Tarvos Wealth, a Chartered financial planning firm, strengthening Craven Street Wealth’s footprint across Kent and the wider South East.

  • Bernard Barrett Associates (March 2023) – Purchase of London-based Bernard Barrett Associates, adding a long-established private client advice business and helping lift group assets under advice to around £1.25bn at the time.

  • Punter Southall Aspire financial planning business (January 2024) – Agreement to acquire Punter Southall’s DC consulting and financial planning arm, adding offices in Oxford, Bedford and Bournemouth and representing Craven Street Wealth’s largest acquisition to date.
