Clifton Wealth Partnership has successfully acquired seven financial advice firms across England and Wales, accelerating M&A activity in the UK wealth management sector. These deals add £500 in AUM and 25 additional team members, reflecting the industry's ongoing trend of consolidation as firms pursue greater scale, operational efficiencies, and improved client services.

The acquired firms include Capel Court (Essex), Financial Solutions Wales, Davies Craddock (Wales), Tailormade Financial Services (Bristol), Absolute Financial Services (Nottingham), London Private Wealth (London), and Clifton Wealth Partnership Portishead. This expansion enhances Clifton Wealth Partnership’s presence in key regions of the UK and raises its total AUM beyond £2.5bn.

Anthony Carty, Managing Director of Clifton Wealth Partnership, emphasised that successful acquisitions rely on careful planning and execution rather than hasty integration. “There should be no sugar-coating it—any integration and acquisition process demands hard work from everyone involved,” he stated. “That’s why we take great care to truly understand the needs of each individual business before implementing customised integration and resource plans.”

This systematic approach to M&A, bolstered by robust infrastructure and technology, underscores a broader trend within the wealth management sector, where firms increasingly focus on long-term client retention, seamless integration, and scalable growth strategies.

Clifton Wealth Partnership’s latest acquisition follows a wave of consolidation in UK financial advice, with companies such as Saltus, Shackleton, and Wren Sterling also making significant acquisitions in recent months. The ongoing expansion of private equity-backed and independently funded acquirers highlights the demand for scale, technological investment, and succession planning solutions in a shifting regulatory and economic landscape.

Business owners contemplating their next steps must understand the valuation landscape, integration strategies, and the long-term implications of consolidation.
