Lync Wealth Adds £300m With Two Belfast IFA Deals

3rd September 2026
Deal summary
Lync Wealth Management has added Belfast-based Carleton Financial Planning and RJ Savage Asset Management to its Northern Ireland business, bringing around £300m in assets under advice and taking Lync’s regional AUA above £350m.
The two firms join North Financial Management, which was one of Lync’s first acquisitions when the group launched in 2023. Carleton and RJ Savage will continue serving clients from their existing Belfast offices.
About Lync Wealth Management
Lync Wealth Management is a nationwide financial advice group owned by an affiliate of 7IM. Its total assets under advice are now approximately £4bn, with the business expanding through a combination of acquisitions and organic growth.
Lync was launched in 2023 with the acquisitions of Sheffield-based Sheafmoor Money Management and Belfast-based North Financial Management. The business was subsequently acquired by an affiliate of 7IM in 2024, with its acquisition strategy continuing under the new ownership.
About Carleton Financial Planning and RJ Savage Asset Management
Carleton Financial Planning has operated in Belfast for more than 50 years, with its history dating back to 1968. John Bamber MBE and the wider Carleton team have joined Lync as part of the transaction.
RJ Savage Asset Management, also based in Belfast, was founded by financial adviser Ronnie Savage, who has more than 40 years of experience in financial services and is now listed as part of Lync’s Northern Ireland team.
Why is Lync expanding in Belfast?
The transactions deepen an existing regional presence rather than establishing a new one. Lync already operated in Belfast through North Financial Management, while Carleton and RJ Savage substantially increase the scale of its Northern Ireland business.
Lync has identified Northern Ireland as a key growth market and is targeting more than £1bn in client assets in the region through acquisitions, adviser recruitment and organic growth.
Agustin Fernandez, chief corporate development officer at Lync and 7IM, said the group remains interested in established firms that want additional resources for growth while retaining their culture, colleagues and local client relationships. He also confirmed that Lync remains open to further acquisitions both in Northern Ireland and elsewhere in the UK.
What happens next?
Carleton and RJ Savage will continue operating from their existing Belfast offices. John Bamber and Ronnie Savage have both joined Lync’s adviser team, providing continuity for their existing clients.
Carleton is moving to the Lync Wealth Management brand, while Lync plans to continue expanding its Northern Ireland presence through a mixture of recruitment, organic growth and further acquisitions.
