About MKC Wealth

MKC Wealth is a London-headquartered boutique independent wealth management firm providing financial planning to families, as well and private and corporate clients. The business was acquired via management buy-in in October 2021 by Dominic Rose and Nigel Speirs, both formerly of Quilter Private Client Advisers, and is backed by private equity firm Cabot Square Capital. The firm now manages approximately £3bn in assets under advice, operates an employee benefit trust making all staff shareholders.

About the acquired firms

Daniel Richards, previously at Coldrey & Bryant Consultants Ltd, sold his client book to MKC, joined the firm as a financial planner, and became a shareholder, advised by Chapters Capital.

The IFA Partnership, based in Knutsford, Cheshire, was a sole-adviser practice run by Robert Williams, who is retiring and introducing his clients to MKC, advised by Chapters Capital.

Medical Investment & Financial Management, based in Buckinghamshire, was led by Mark Candler, also retiring, who will introduce his clients to MKC over a handover period, advised by Chapters Capital.

Wealth and Tax, based in Milton Keynes, was led by Tony Byrne and director Cholpon Djanuzakova, both retiring and passing their clients to MKC. Financial planner Jat Bubbra, previously at Wealth and Tax, has joined MKC Wealth.

Peartree Wealth Management, based in Bishops Stortford, saw financial planner Howard Roberts and client support specialist Pauline Tingley join MKC following the transaction.

Executive Lifestyle Planning, based in Sevenoaks, was run by Paul Streat, who is retiring.

What happens next?

All six transactions are complete. Howard Roberts, Daniel Richards, Jat Bubbra and Pauline Tingley have joined the MKC Wealth team. The retiring principals at the remaining four firms will introduce their clients to MKC over agreed transition periods.
