Deal summary

My Pension Expert’s parent company, My Money Expert, has acquired Glasgow-based EIS Financial Services from Cornmarket Group Financial Services. The transaction completed in April 2026.

EIS Financial Services was established by the Educational Institute of Scotland and remains its official investment and insurance partner. The business provides retirement planning, wider financial planning, life insurance and income protection advice, primarily to EIS members and their families.

About My Pension Expert

Founded in 2010 and headquartered in Doncaster, My Pension Expert specialises in regulated retirement advice for UK consumers. The wider business currently supports approximately 20,000 clients and advises on around £2bn of client assets.

My Pension Expert has been expanding beyond its core retirement proposition through acquisitions and broader financial planning services. It has also agreed a strategic investment from Valeas Capital Partners, with existing investor Palatine Private Equity due to exit when that separate transaction completes, subject to FCA approval.

About EIS Financial Services

EIS Financial Services was formed by the Educational Institute of Scotland in 1990 to provide members and their families with access to dedicated financial advisers. The Glasgow-based firm provides advice across investments, pensions, retirement planning and insurance and continues to operate as the EIS’s official investment and insurance partner.

Cornmarket initially acquired a minority interest in EIS Financial Services before taking full ownership in 2020. In 2025, EIS Financial Services generated turnover of £1.86m, an increase of 12% on the previous year.

What happens next?

The transaction has already completed, having taken place in April 2026. No separate integration timetable or rebrand has been disclosed. EIS Financial Services continues to trade under its existing name and presents itself as the official investment and insurance partner of the EIS.

Separately, the proposed investment in My Pension Expert by Valeas Capital Partners is expected to complete later in 2026, subject to FCA approval.

My Pension Expert’s other recent acquisitions

Tenet&You – May 2024

My Pension Expert completed its first acquisition with the purchase of financial adviser Tenet&You. The business brought approximately £490m in assets under administration, taking the combined group to around £1bn in assets under influence at the time.
