Partners Wealth Management has acquired Navigate Capital Management, an independent financial planning firm based in Surrey, which manages £170m in client assets. This acquisition enhances PWM’s national presence and increases its total assets under management to over £6.2bn, serving approximately 5,700 clients.

Navigate Capital, founded by Philip Warren, has a focused client base of 175 individuals and is known for providing personalised, high-quality advice. Warren described the deal as “the next exciting chapter” for both clients and the team, highlighting the cultural alignment and shared standards of excellence between the two firms.

PWM, part of the 7IM group, emphasised that this acquisition is not merely an expansion but a strategic partnership rooted in shared values and a commitment to improving client outcomes. Managing Partner Fiona Oliver stated, “By uniting under the PWM brand, we are combining Navigate’s expertise with the scale and support of our national platform.”

For advisory firms considering a sale or succession, this deal serves as a crucial reminder of the benefits of partnering with firms that strike a balance between national scale and a boutique service approach. For buyers, it underscores the value of acquiring specialist teams that can integrate seamlessly into a broader platform without compromising client care or identity.

Overall, this transaction highlights the strength of deals that prioritise relationship continuity, cultural fit, and long-term scalability, essential factors for any advisory firm preparing for exit or growth.
