The Finli Group has announced the acquisition of six additional financial advice firms, increasing its total number of completed deals to 51 and raising its assets under advice to £5bn. The newly acquired businesses are Accomplish Wealth Management (Letchworth), G&D Bignell (Tonbridge), Wynford Davies & Co (Cardiff), Wheeler Wicks & Co (Carmarthen), EP Wealth Management Limited (Dundee), and GTM Financial (Rochester), contributing approximately £264m in client assets to the Finli portfolio.

In a recent internal survey of its financial planners, the group found that 93% cited “the reputation of potential acquirers” as the most important factor when considering succession options. Acquisition Director Jon Barham noted the trust demonstrated by these firms as a privilege: “It is never just about the money. It is a privilege that… firms which have worked hard over several decades, nurturing client relationships, have chosen Finli for those clients.”

This latest round of acquisitions builds on Finli’s earlier expansion, which included five deals at the end of March in strategic regions such as Southern England, Scotland, Merseyside, and Cardiff. That wave of acquisitions added £220m in assets and brought the total deal count to 47 at that time. The financial terms of the new deals remain undisclosed.

For business owners and consolidators, Finli’s continued growth emphasises three key themes: first, the importance of reputation and cultural alignment in succession; second, the strategy of building national scale through regional acquisitions; and third, the ability to close high-volume deals while maintaining continuity and care for client relationships.
