Absolute Financial Group acquires HR Independent Financial Services

Chapters Capital is pleased to have advised Tim and Fiona Harvey on the sale of HR Independent Financial Services to Absolute Financial Group, bringing 99 client households and £43 million of funds under management to the growing national independent firm.

The transaction

Absolute Financial Group has completed the acquisition of HR Independent Financial Services, a directly authorised financial planning firm based in South Brent, Devon. David Carter and Mark Eaton were appointed as directors of HR Independent on 30 January 2026.

The deal adds 99 client households and £43 million of funds under management to Absolute’s business, further strengthening its presence in the South West.

Tim Harvey will continue to advise clients as part of the business following completion. Fiona Harvey will retire from the business, while Jo Young will stay on in her role as paraplanner.
