Beckett Investment Management Group has acquired Ipswich-based Swallow Financial Planning, adding approximately £90m in client assets and further solidifying its position as one of East Anglia’s leading financial planning firms.

This acquisition coincides with the retirement of Swallow Financial Planning’s owner, Andrew Swallow, who has led the business for over 30 years. To ensure a smooth transition, Chartered Financial Planner Joshua Lamb and the Swallow team will join Becketts, bringing with them extensive technical knowledge and client experience.

Gavin Wood, managing director of Becketts, stated that the acquisition is a natural fit, as both firms share a commitment to a client-first approach to financial planning. This move enhances Becketts’ capacity to provide expert advice and long-term stability while expanding the range of services available to clients.

Swallow expressed confidence in the transition, noting that Becketts’ culture and values align with his own, which will help ensure that his clients and staff continue to thrive. For Becketts, this acquisition marks another step in its broader growth strategy, reinforcing its reputation as a trusted provider of high-quality financial advice across the region.
