Hoxton Wealth has acquired Infinity Financial Solutions, an expat services provider, in its largest deal to date and its first acquisition in Asia. This move adds £225m in AUM, increasing Hoxton’s total to £2.5bn, more than double the amount from April of last year.
The acquisition marks a strategic shift for Hoxton Wealth, which has primarily focused on the UK domestic market. CEO Chris Ball views this expansion as a natural evolution aimed at reinforcing trust among the firm’s core client base of UK expatriates while capitalising on opportunities in high-growth regions like Asia. He considers Asia a key focus area in Hoxton's growth journey and hinted that the next frontier could be the U.S., which he referred to as a “golden market.”
Infinity possesses a strong regional reputation and an established client base comprising both individuals and corporations. Managing Director Trevor Keidan stated that the deal enhances Infinity’s offerings by integrating Hoxton’s advanced technology platform alongside its personalised, regulated financial planning services. He emphasised the alignment of values and vision between both firms, particularly regarding the provision of high-touch, client-centred advice.
Oliver Gorman, Hoxton’s Revenue Director and a former adviser based in Malaysia, highlighted the strategic and cultural alignment, describing the acquisition as a move motivated not only by scale but also by a shared purpose. With advisers from the UK, France, China, Japan, and beyond, Hoxton aims to offer fully regulated global financial planning services for clients, no matter their location.
The firm now serves 7,000 clients and operates across key global hubs including the UAE, UK, U.S., Australia, South Africa, Mexico, and Cyprus. Hoxton views this acquisition as a launchpad for further growth in Asia and beyond, driven by both M&A as well as sustained organic expansion.
